上周五听了我校青年教师赵晓杰老师的一节公开课，内容是高三英语泛读课：英语新闻播报。 她本课设计的教学目标为： Learn about news home and abroad Get familiar with words and expressions 所选新闻题材丰富，涉及八个不同领域的时事热点，分别为： News 1 北京2022年冬奥会的组织者发布了一份包含678道菜的菜单，将在奥运会期间为来自不同文化背景的运动员提供服务。 Organizers of the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games have released a menu of 678 dishes that will be served during the Games to athletes from diverse cultural backgrounds. The menu, approved by the International Olympic Committee, was designed to meet the different dietary needs of athletes while also taking religious diversity into consideration, organizers said. News 2 假笑男孩 Gavin Thomas, an eight-year-old boy from the US, known as “the boy with a fake smile” in China, has gained online fame thanks to his unique facial expressions. The “the boy with a fake smile” has become a popular choice for people encountering questions they don’t want to answer. Last year, some 202 million paperbacks and hardbacks were sold, and the publishing industry hopes this trend will continue now that people have got into the habit of reading more. The article analyzed photo editing apps’ bad impacts on people’s self-esteem and their potential to cause appearance anxieties. 课堂开场导入新颖： Welcome to My English News Teahouse. 英语新闻轻松聊。这样的开场，一下子让课堂的atmosphere和setting发生了变化，让学生的学习空间发生了转移，代入感极强。 课件设计图文并茂，重点突出，讲练结合。重点词汇围绕并切合必修五第四单元的内容Making the News, 使词汇的复现有了新的语境，比单纯地呈现毫无连接、毫无新意的单句效果好了几个level。 课堂活动有角色扮演——模仿英语新闻主播，英汉双语交替翻译，小组话题讨论等。 虽是普通班授课，但课堂不枯燥，不沉闷，学生参与积极性很高。个别学生的语言组织能力和翻译水平较高，体现了文科生知识面丰富，表达能力强的优势。 另外，授课教师流利地道的英语发音、自信的口语表达，连贯的衔接也为课堂的顺利开展增色不少。 总之，这节课可圈可点的地方很多，达到了预期效果。 听本节课的几点启发： 一、高三一轮的复习课，除了常规的词汇课、习题课、试卷讲评课等，还可以采取更加灵活的形式，呈现和复现所学内容。当学生在一个感兴趣的语境和环境下，学习发生的几率会更高，学生的获得感也更强，教学效果也最优。 二、赵晓杰老师平日喜欢听英语新闻，当英语老师把自己的爱好与教学相结合，会产生意想不到的效果。这也是一些校本教材的雏形，授课教师更愿意拓展和研究教学对象和教学内容，最后产生双赢的结果。 三、本人认为本节课的教学设计还可以提升一下，因为毕竟是高三年级，对英语的学习不能停留在浅层次的泛泛地了解大概内容和词汇的学习，还应该充分挖掘英语新闻文本的篇章构成和长难句分析，具体如下： 在篇章结构上，英语新闻有其惯常使用的布局，即标题（headline），导语（lead），正文（body），结语（conclusion）。 英语新闻的标题非常重要，言简意赅，高度概括，又不失形象生动，可以很好地吸引读者进一步阅读。 例如最近的几期英语报刊的标题: 英语新闻的第一段一般称作导语，概括了新闻事件发生的时间、主要内容、发生地点、发生原因、涉及到的人物以及事件的进展等（即 who, what, when, where, why or how）。一般认为读懂或听懂英语新闻的第一段，基本这个故事了解个了百分之八九十。非常重要！ 如： 英语新闻的正文经常使用长难句，表达复杂的思想概念。授课教师可以寻找几个有教育意义的典型例句，来解释长难句。 本学案中的长难句： The menu, approved by the International Olympic Committee, was designed to meet the different dietary needs of athletes while also taking religious diversity into consideration, organizers said. （新闻 1） 组织者表示，该菜单经国际奥委会批准，旨在满足运动员不同的饮食需求，同时也考虑到宗教多样性。 He added all government offices would shift to work from home, while private offices would be advised to do the same for a week to reduce the number of vehicles on the road. （新闻 5） 他补充说，所有政府办公室都将改为在家办公，而私人办公室将被建议在一周内这样做，以减少道路上的车辆数量。 新闻英语为了达到客观真实的效果，还常常会使用大量的引语。引述有直接引语和间接引语两种，引述的内容可以是一段完整的话，或者是一句话中的一部分。 "Hot volcanic cloud is dangerous for the team safety," Suyatna said.
